Situated on the Bushman\u2019s River Mouth the plant abstracts water from wells for desalination for bulk supplier, Amatola Water\/Amanzi Board.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;\"><b>Challenges included:<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;\">\u2022 Corrosion risks \u2013 storage of raw seawater and positioned 400m from sea<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;\">\u2022 Geology and environmental sensitivity<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;\">\u2022 Timeframe \u2013 fast approaching festive season<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;\">With a proven track record in supplying water solutions to the public and private sector and numerous corrosion installations close to the sea, SBS Tanks was appointed by the main contractor Quality Filtration Systems (QFS) to supply the tank, the platform and structural design of the founding structures.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;\">Less than 20 days after the order was received the 1 million litre SBS Tanks ST21\/06 was ready for delivery. The modular nature of the tank meant the various components could be transferred to a smaller vehicle for delivery to the remote, difficult-to-access site.
